The story in this stone

Hold this one up to the light and the stone comes alive. There is a whole little landscape trapped inside: deep plum and charcoal tones from the host rock, cut through with bright green flashes, warm orange, flickers of yellow and soft rose and purple. The matrix itself reads almost like hills and sky within the cabochon, no two angles show the same picture. It is bezel set in a wide, substantial sterling silver band that lets the stone sit as the clear focal point.
